I am on a smoothie kick. I bought myself a smoothie maker (I want the Magic Bullet, but have to wait for an awesome sale) and I decided to make some premade smoothies to put in the freezer. This way, I have them available when I am in a rush.
Basically, I took what fruit I had/got on sale this week... mangos, strawberries, bananas, pineapple and cut it up and put it in a cake pan. Then I put strawberry yogurt into a mini muffin pan and put it all in the freezer for about 2 hours.
Once it was frozen, I put 3 mini muffin cups in a bag with a handful of fruit and stuck them in the freezer. I got 8 premade smoothie bags from this and plan on adding milk, protein powder, oatmeal, peanut butter and possibly honey to my shakes!
